As with any other machinery, all Wind Turbines require an annual service to ensure optimum performance. Maintenance of a Wind Turbine incorporates replacing broken of faulty
parts due to wear and tear or improper installation or servicing.
Frontier Energy offers a Maintenance Contract to all its existing
customers and to other customers with Wind Turbines installed by
another installer. Frontier Energy will firstly carry out an inspection
and from this, a report of any problems encountered is produced.
A Wind Turbine Service may include the following:
- detailed examination
- oil change
- bearings and bushings greased
- output waveforms checked
- bolts and blades checked
- lightning protection and earthing conductors checked
- visual inspections for cracks and signs of fatigue etc
