Onsite ConsultationFrontier Energy's Consultant will visit the proposed site to investigate various important aspects that may have a vital impact when considering installing a wind turbine.
These include ground conditions, adequate access roads, bordering/neighbouring land, nearest electricity supply point, distance from premises etc.

Analysis of past electricity bills is necessary as are detailed discussions on the customer's specific requirements. An analysis of this information will take place, data from the European Wind Atlas will be loaded into our software for specific turbine power curves of the specific site and expected outputs predicted based on the information gathered.

Wind MeasurementsInstalling a Wind Turbine is an expensive process and to ensure that this is a rewarding rather than a disappointing experience, Frontier Energy strongly recommends that Wind Measurements are recorded for a minimum period of three months with calibrated measuring equipment. This will indicate whether the site does have sufficient wind speeds to ensure the expected amount of electricity is generated for the customer's needs.

Wind Turbine Service / MaintenanceAs with any other machinery, all Wind Turbines require an annual service to ensure optimum performance. Maintenance of a Wind Turbine incorporates replacing broken of faulty parts due to wear and tear or improper installation or servicing.

Frontier Energy offers a Maintenance Contract to all its existing customers and to other customers with Wind Turbines installed by another installer. Frontier Energy will firstly carry out an inspection and from this, a report of any problems encountered is produced.

A Wind Turbine Service may include the following:

detailed examination
oil change
bearings and bushings greased
output waveforms checked
bolts and blades checked
lightning protection and earthing conductors checked
visual inspections for cracks and signs of fatigue etc
